Second life

My opinion about Second life as overall , was just an okay experience. Due to the slow rendering, andlag, I does not make it an awesome experience. The avatar was not that good looking either.=.=
There was alot to be improve but I guess I have to be impress too, since it is quite hard to control and make something like that.Plus it is an online 3D virtual world.

Second life : Tropical Island of Quan Li

I like that area in that picture. It was soo pretty!The structure there was really nice. The colour, the texture, the lighting is very nice. I like this place the most. The place is not that big though. Not so many people. I wonder why..

Anyway it was better than the other place that I went.

P/s : I change the appearence and gender of my avatar a few times so..dont get confused. XD

Second life : Mexico

Hahaha. Now atleast I know how Mexico really looks like. Hahaha. It is interesting and relaxing to be here.
I am not sure whether this the mexico that the dean want us to visit. But it does says mexico ther there. Hahaha. The atmosphere is definitely nicer than the others. The colours, the texture, the structure are nice here.

To tell you the truth, I really have nothing to say about this place. All I can say the experience being here is much better than the other places. I guess I have to agree The Mexican Tourism Board joining SL is a great idea. :D

Second life : Straylight

This is one weird place. They got christmas tree, sakura trees, waterfalls and Lavas, all in the same place. This place , I find it to be really interesting. It is really beautiful. but then again, there isnt any much stuff to do.


Again! there was no people! =.=..But this place is not that big either. I was lucky not get lost in this place. The feeling was really different compared to when i was in Kowloon. It was quite peaceful. Atleast alittle bit. Hahaha.



See.. theres lavas! They say that this world were created by the users itself? What kind of ppl put lava and christmas trees together in one place?=.= interesting...well it is but..seriously atleast add some dinosaurs in it to make it more interesting authentic. Hahaha.

Second life : Kowloon

Well kowloon is the second place that I visited. This is one place that I definitely will not go in real life. I got kinda lost in this place. The structure was close together, i felt like I was at the backstreet of Hongkong or something close to that. The colour of the place is quite dark and scary looking.Not to mention, I found this one room with a big puppet thing covered with cloth. I am not sure if it is a puppet but the leg looks like doraemon's leg. It kinda freaks me out a little bit. Sigh, and I forgot to take a picture of it..


AAnother place that looks abandon to me. Seriously it was so hard to find ppl around here.


See this pic above? they called that area as hanged animal..O.o..I guess this second life thing is seriously not for ppl below 15.

Second life : Numbakulla

This was the first place I visit in Second life.This place was okay to me. There were shipwrecks and waterfall.However, there were no people around.=.=...I felt like I was in an abandon place.
The view was nice though. Really colourful.They say I have to find some missing piece of a pot?
But I could not find any. To tell you the truth, I did not understand any of the instructions given.


The building looks interesting but i tried to get in there but kinda fail. I have been trying to figure out how to get in there but I gave up. Haha.

Cirque De Soleil

So last wednesday, we learn about Cirque De Soleil or in english as Circus of the Sun. I always find Circus to be very interesting. I always wanted to go one. I remember when I was small and the Royal London Circus came to town. I begged my parents to go there but then my parents were too busy and we were not able to see them.

Anyway, I've heard the of Cirque De Soleil before but only the name. I never really know what is it about. But after finding out about it, I was really excited. The dean said it is a Circus with only humans in it and then he showed us the video clip. and yeah, no big elephants or lions. It looks like circus of art to me. I have to agree,very artistic and creative. By watching the clips..I never know human abilities can go that far. The way they jump around and do those moves, they look like superhumans to me. lol

By combining, their talents and and technology. They were able to give and extremely unforgettable perf. I only watched it through a video clip and I was already amazed by it. Now, I feel like I really want to watch it live! but then the dean said the nearest from here is Macau.=.=
Macau is still quite far to me. If only they would come to Malaysia. I would be happy to spend my money on them. XD

I was impressed by how they could change a normal looking hockey stadium into an awesome place to perform. These people are genius!The lighting, the mood, the music were planned carefully and thoroughly. My favourite among all the vid that was being shown were the O and Ka. It was splendid to me.

I am so going add it to my soon-to-visit list! XD

Second life

For some reason i have problem installing second life into my comp.I have been trying to install it since week 3 and I have no idea why it would not install.
I know i have not much time left. I will try doing it asap.

Maybe i'll borrow someone's else comp who has second life to do this assignment.

Birdpark trip and Orchid garden

This week trip, Birdpark and Orchid garden.

I'll start with birdpark first.

Focus and Emotion

The place is okay to me. Not awesome but not that bad either. I think they did a great job by attracting us with the cute parrots first. The part that excites me was that the birds were not that scared of people. You can manage to touch them actually. All of them were flying free in there.But when you think about it,It is actually a really really big cage that fits a whole bunch of birds together and not to mentions humans in it. =.=

I was excited to be in there but after a while I just feels really tired of walking. The place is actually quite big. As for the birds, they have a lot of birds but most of them are from the same kind of family. To tell you the truth I was expecting something more unique kind of birds.

There were soo many peacocks in there! It was everywhere. They should just call it peacock park instead.Well anyway, other than that, the place is cool to me. XD

Space, form and orientation

I like the spaces in the place. It is big and actually quite a peaceful place. Even if they were alot of people entering the place. I don't feel it to be that crowded. It was so green in there. There were so many huge trees. I love it. It felt really cozy and comfortable. I wish cyberjaya has that much trees.=.=

You don't really feel lost in there because of the pathway. No matter how far the pathway goes it will always leads you back to the previous place. So you cannot really get lost in there, which is a good thing. Haha.

Knowledge and task

Well they put a lot of signs giving us information about the birds around us. Which is interesting.
The pathway did a splendid job in guiding us throughout the places but i didn't manage to find the map saying where I was exactly when i am in the place. So it kinda got me confused at times.

Orchid Garden

I find this place to be not so interesting. I expect the place to be big and full of beautiful flowers. I guess my expectation were too high. The orchids were small and only little of them. The place is clean but they didn't really took care of the pond properly. Which is sad. The place was really quite and peaceful but not much too look at. A perfect place for couples to date though. =.=

All in all, the experience of going to these places is unforgettable. It was not that awesome but it was about going to these places with you friends, which makes it an unforgettable experience!By the way,I like birdpark more that orchid garden. Hahaha.

O yea, I want to thank the dean for giving us the free trip! THANK YOU SO MUCH! :D

Trip to Petrosains and Aquaria

Trip to Petrosains and Aquaria.

My opinion? well it is not that bad. Petrosains have not change that much since i went there.The only new attraction that i can see is that they added the space place and the f1 simulation thingy. Last time I went there was when i was 8. I was quite happy to be there, it was like reliving my childhood. I still remember walking on those path with my dad. Such a wonderful memory. Anyway, my favourite part of the place is the slide thing,the hurricane ride and the exit ride. Hahaha.

Aquaria..hrmm..I wish we had more time in there. I love looking at those fishes.So Entertaining.

It is my second time going there and I still wish the place is bigger. It is quite small and crowded with people. Even the underwater world in Langkawi is bigger and better. In term of an awesome experience, i think underwater world will win.No doubt about that.

Well they should add alot more type of fishes in there.Most of it are sharks and stingrays. Hey, they're awesome but i want to see more of sea creatures. Some rare ones if can! or the weird looking ones...

Mall experience

Okay, before i start anything, im gonna inform you that I will be talking about Imax in another post. I just feel more organized doing that. :D I'm trying to be more organized in this messy life of mine. LOL.

So let's do this thing!

Anyway, I've been to time square many times already with my family and friends. I actually prefer times square more than KLCC because it is less crowded and there is no long lines to the ladies' room! Well, the place is also big enough to get you tired and there is soo many shops that i doubt you can go to every store there within a day. Unless, you are a shopaholic.

However, this time the experience of going there is a little bit different because I went there with all my coursemates and not to mention,the Dean. We went there by MMU's bus at 3.15 pm i think and arrived nearly 4 pm. After we arrived, we were allowed to go wherever we want but have to be in front of the cinema at 5.30 pm. So yay!

The first place we went was Borders! It is soo nice to be there~ It is big, plus they got a starbuck in the middle of the place and I as a frappucino lover could not help myself to buy a dark mocha frappucino there~ :D We spent about 15 min there because my friend were looking for a book. After that, we went to figurine shops because one of my friend loves figurines so much. She ordered new figurines to add to her collections. As for me, I don't collect them but i do enjoy looking at them at the shop's display window. Haha.





Look at all of those figurines. I don't even have the money to buy the cheapest one. Hahaha.

Oh well..anyway after that, we went to Mcdonalds to eat. However, with limited time left, we just take away and eat it near the cinema since there was a food court there.One thing i don't get it about the whole place is why the foodcourt is at the 10th floor?! I mean its like soo secluded that i doubt many people even wants to go there.

All in all, the mall experience is nice. :D
Definitely going there again and again and again...and again.

IMAX trip

To tell you the truth this is my second time watching at Imax theater. The first time was when I watched 2012 with my family. Actually at that time, I didn't know that it was Imax. Therefore, I'm gonna talk about how i felt when i first went into that theater. What came through my mind was that the place is big but what is weird is that the seatings were all joint together inn the middle. I wonder how the person in the middle gets out of the place because i think they need to get through alot of people just to get to the side. I thought to myself, wow..time square sure has a weird cinema but then when the 2012 movie started. I was surprised with how big the screen was. To me it was awesome especially when watching the effect part when the tsunami about to hit India in the movie 2012. O yea, 2012 was a good movie btw. :D



Anyway, enough talk about 2012. I should be talking about prince of persia! That was the movie we watched yesterday and well it is also my second time watching it. I watched it in jusco before this.I think I like watching it in Imax more than a regular movie theater. Eventhough, the format of the movie is in the normal format, the wide screen still makes it look bigger than the normal cinema screen. I noticed that the Imax screen is also a little bit curvy which i think makes all seats in the theater the best seat in house except for the front rows. Anyway, to me, the effect of the prince of persia movie is nice. The actors were good, the story is also good but i find that the ending of the story a little bit anti- climatic. The hero turns back time, no one remembers anything except for him , saves the kingdom and still gets the princess. However i'd still give it a 3 out of 5. Much better than some movies i've watched.

Imax was a great experience. I enjoyed it very much.

Review : Technology as Experience

I do agree that technology is an experience.I think technology give us the experience to learn new things about our surrounding. Not only that, it also enhance the creative minds. It helps us to be inspired and try to think of something new and exciting. As a consumer, I think technology do leave a great experience emotionally. It keeps me entertained and expect the impossible.

Based on the journal, Technology gives us four thread of experience in term of compositional,sensual,emotional, and spatio- temporal. From all of this four experience,
it can be said that technology makes us think. gives us a sense of comfort in a society, and teaches us about other people's experience. When all of this happens, we will want more of it.

Walking to Secret Recipe

It was almost 5 p.m , when my friends and I decided to walk there. Yes, walking from MMU to the secret recipe in front of the street mall. The reason we went there was because we wanted to buy a cake for our friend's birthday. So Happy Birthday to her! :D
Anyway, surprisingly it was not that tiring walking to the place. In fact, I enjoyed it. I manage to notice a lot of things around me. For example, I saw an abandon building near persiaran ceria. I actually never realized it before.I am not sure if it is an abandon building or not because it looks abandon to me.O yea,the tree looks greener,today.Is it always like that? or is it just me?

Here is the pic of the abandon building.Well,not exactly a picture because I didn't manage to take a picture of the building itself. Instead i'll show you the map to where it is.



Anyway, while walking on that pavement, I actually felt calm and time seems to move slowly. It really feels different compared to when I am riding the bus. For that moment, I felt like I don't have to worry about simple stuff like when i am riding the bus. Like I have to be alert for the next stop so that I wont miss it and end up somewhere else. While walking, I notice that the sky is really nice today. The weather was not that hot either.
So it took us about 10-20 minutes to get to secret recipe. There we bought, chocolate mud cake for our friend. Mudcake.. It taste much better than it sounds. We brought the cake back to MMU. This time we took the bus because we suddenly felt lazy to walk back.
We celebrate our friend's birthday and enjoy the cake together. The cake was delicious. It is not too chocolaty like any other chocolate cake. It was just nice. However, only a slice of it can make you full. I'd say it really worth to buy it. After from a long way of walking, it is really nice to be sitting down enjoying a slice of cake while chatting with your closest friends.

Anyway, I could not upload the pictures from my phone to the computer. For some strange reason, my phone is being ridiculous again. I will try to find a way to get the pictures and upload it as soon as possible! If not I think I will ask some of the pictures from my friends to be post here.
